Press Release Body: For release October 23, 2008 | Media contact: Angel Anderson, angel@dataviking.com Las Vegas, Nevada (DataViking) - October 23, 2008 - Las Vegas, Nevada web company, DataViking, plans to donate a website package valued at over $2500 to a deserving, Las Vegas based non-profit organization, and they are looking to the public for help with selecting the right recipient.
"We believe in supporting the organizations that help to keep our community strong," says Angel Anderson, Owner of DataViking. "We also want this to be about more than just us. We need our community to help us find the right organization for this donation."
The company has opened its Website Giveaway program and will be accepting nominations on its website through November 1, 2008. Anyone can nominate a non-profit for this award, as long as the non-profit has operations based in the city of Las Vegas, Nevada. Anderson says the focus on local non-profits reflects the company's desire to invest in its own community.
"We have customers in all U.S. states and many other countries, but Las Vegas is our home. It's where we live and where we work, and it's the community we want to support through this program."
At the end of November, DataViking's selection panel will choose 3-5 finalists from the nominations collected. The company plans to contact each finalist organization to discuss the program and obtain their permission to participate in the final vote. DataViking will publish the finalists on their website and call on the public to vote for who they think should receive the award.
"We wanted to hold the public vote for the winner for two reasons," explains Anderson. "First, it lets the community have a part in choosing who receives this award. But even more importantly, it lets us share the stories of all of our finalist organizations. We hope to discover some truly amazing benevolent work and to be able to share that with the world through our giveaway website."
Finalist voting will take place November 1, 2008 through November 30, 2008 with the winning organization announced shortly thereafter. For more information about the giveaway and to submit a nomination, visit the giveaway website at www.dataviking.com/giveaway.
